The Verdurier pavilion was built in 1919 in Limoges by Roger Gonthier, architect of the Bénédictins train station. It is an octagonal building, built in reinforced concrete and decorated with mosaics and porcelain stoneware by Gentil & Bourdet.
It was originally intended for the refrigerated storage and sale of meat imported from Argentina. Having then become a covered market, it was transferred to the municipality two years after its construction and in 1942 operated as a bus station until the 1970's
